QARTest

QARTest is a free Ham Radio contest logging program for Windows. Supported versions are XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, 11, both 32 and 64bit.
It can also be set to English.
Download area (First installation and updates)
www.ik3qar.it/software/qartest/en/download/

Before starting the configuration, remember to update QARTest to the latest version, then select Marconi Club QSO Party Day in the “Contest name” dialog box.

It is important to enter the QSO data correctly: AFTER THE CALLSIGN, MOVE TO THE NEXT FIELD WITH THE SPACE BAR, NOT WITH ENTER.

Always include the Club membership number of the station worked, preceded by "MC" without a space, in the column after the received RST; if you are a Club member, also enter your own MC number in the column after the sent RST.

SD Contest logger

SD manual

tks to Sandro I7ALE, September 2023

We recommend always downloading and installing the latest version of SD logger, which contains the updated members lists. The current version includes the club membership list, searchable both by callsign and by number.

Short instructions by Sandro I7ALE

New installation of SD: click “Download” on the website www.ei5di.com
Save or run the file sdsetup.exe. Ignore any warning messages: SD does not cause any problem to your PC.
Then continue, accepting all the default options during installation. When installing a new version of SD (i.e. NOT the first installation), the option “create a Desktop icon” must not be selected, otherwise you would have to set up all the parameters again (see the manual). Do not change the folder where SD is installed (default on “C”).
Refer to the manual to:
- size the screen
- give the contest a title
- tell SD what type of contest it is
- set the required information (your Marconi Club number MC…), and for all the other SD modes and features for operating in the contest.
There is no need to delete or uninstall the old version to install the new one. Just download and run sdsetup.exe. All the other files in the SD folder (logs, settings, etc.) remain unchanged.

Update 19.12.2025 - A new option "MCD-Non members" has been added to the list of contests handled by SD (alongside the MCD-Members option): it better suits the serial number that independent stations send as part of their exchange. The same change is also reflected in the Cabrillo file. Anyone interested should download the updated version 22.28, which includes this new feature, from www.ei5di.com and reinstall it. It is very easy: there is no need to delete existing files, and SD automatically updates whatever needs updating.
