Contest results MARCONI CLUB QSO PARTY DAY Edition 2022

Ciao Tony!

Yess, I receive very nice plaque.

Sorry for the delay.

I send some pictures for you.

I'm looking forward to the QSO Party Day 2023.

Best regards to you and all Marconi Club ARI Loano members.

73, Ivo 9A1AA

In this new edition we changed some rules, making our QSO Party more competitive. We received 168 logs from 29 different DXCC countries, more than double the 2021 edition: a great success for this mini contest lasting only 10 hours. We are very happy with how much the Marconi QSO Party Day has grown.

Credit for this goes to the 77 participants who are members of the Marconi Club (currently almost 900 members worldwide), mostly Italians but also from Europe and the USA, and to the 91 independent radio amateurs who completed the field of participants!

The winner is Ivo 9A1AA, a great specialist in these competitions: alternating the hunt for Marconi members with some RUN periods with a good signal was the winning strategy that allowed him to beat Davide IK4DCT, who finished 2nd. It was a tight fight between them: 91 members worked by Ivo and 69 by Davide. 3rd place goes to Stefano IZ5FDE, just a few points ahead of Helga IN3FHE (4th), with 64 members worked against Helga's 62.

Many thanks to all participants: you all contributed to the success of the Marconi QSO Party Day. We hope to have even more participants next year; in 2023 we will introduce more new features, starting with the electronic upload of logs in CABRILLO format, and our contest will be supported by the most important contest logging software. Please help us spread the word about this competition, so that more and more operators take part in the future.

Finally, I would like to remind you that the Marconi Club is open to all radio amateurs who love CW: it will be a great pleasure to have you as members!

Thanks and best 73'
