Now in its seventh year, the Marconi Club QSO Party in early January continues to attract numerous CW operators, both registered members and independent telegraphy enthusiasts.

The event offers telegraphers from all over the world the opportunity to meet and "shake hands" on the 20, 40 and 80 mt bands.

Despite the turbulent solar activity, with a "flare" in the middle of the competition, the many active stations guaranteed moments of pure fun for all participants, even those who had little time.

This year 228 logs were sent via the new HRDLOG platform by Claudio IW1QLH, to whom we extend our sincere thanks for his availability and expertise.

Of these, 111 come from members of the Marconi Club, while 117 from independent operators, demonstrating the growing interest in the QSO Party.

The logs record a total of 19,808 QSOs, distributed among 29 DXCC countries.

The cross-checking of the Organizing Committee, with the help of the National Contest Manager Filippo IZ1LBG whom we thank, revealed that there are still some participants who do not send the log at the end of the event.

We urge everyone to do so, even with a few QSOs, to be included in the list of participating stations and obtain the certificate of participation.

Furthermore, a larger database allows more precise rankings.

We recommend always using software that supports the Marconi Club QSO Party Day, such as QARTest by Paolo IK3QAR, who has been managing the event since the first editions.

It is important to correctly enter the QSO data, including the Club membership number of the correspondent preceded by "MC" without a space, in the column following the RTS received, as well as inserting your MC number if you are a Club member, in the column following the RTS transmitted.

The use of loggers that include our QSO Party guarantees the generation of compliant and well-formatted Cabrillo files.

Looking at the rankings, Flavio IK1YDB confirms himself as the winner with 480 QSOs and 228 multipliers in the MC members category.

Tony IK1QBT, second place, has a higher QSO points average but 67 QSOs less and 213 multipliers.

Ivo 9A1AA closes the podium with 11 more QSOs than Tony, 17 multipliers less and a lower QSO points average of 2.84.

It is interesting to note that the most effective strategies adopted by the operators have balanced the number of QSOs with the multipliers, optimizing the search for MC stations and the management of QSY on the three available bands.

Among the independent operators, Marco I4IKW excelled with 343 QSOs and 188 multipliers, winning first place.

Congratulating all the participants who showed up in great numbers this year, we would like to extend a special thanks to Pietro I2RTF and Mrs. Bruna from the BEGALI company for the prestigious first prize in the MC category: a fantastic Camelback vertical key.

We would also like to thank Giu IT9VDQ for providing the plate for the first independent place.

Before leaving, we invite all independent operators to join the Marconi Club, filling out the registration form and reporting the QSOs made with club members during the QSO Party or on other occasions.

The appointment is for the QSO Party 2026, with the hope of an even more participated edition !
